Marcus' Photo Biography

I am a native German and lived and worked 1 year in Spain and another 4 years in the USA.
My professional background in paint chemistry is probably the reason why I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
I love to travel and fortunately so does my wife. Together with our dog and a bag of 35-mm equipment we try to explore new places as often as we can.
My 2 camera bodies are Minolta Maxxum (Dynax) 7xi and the 600si Classic. I own autofocus lenses from 24 mm up to 400 mm in focal length. To complement my 2 travel zooms I have started to build up a fix focal lens ("primes") line.
My idea of travel photography is the documentation of the locations I have seen on my trips. I want to experience new sites with all my senses, and use photography as a medium to record and witness.
I am in the process of getting established as a freelancer for travel writing and in the stock photography market with travel pictures.
