| ILLILOUETTE FALL | ||
| Location: Yosemite
National Park, Panorama Trail from Glacier Point or Happy Isles (Day Trip) |
||
| Access
& Difficulty: Hike-in 4.0 miles
RT/Moderate from Glacier Point; or Hike-in 20 miles RT/Strenous from Happy Isles. If Glacier Road is open its an nice walk from Glacier Point to this beautiful fall. I have visited this fall in mid-May, Glacier Road was closed so i hiked up from Happy Isles to Glacier Point and back (total of 20 miles, still 2-3 feet of snow on Glacier Point in mid-May !) It was a full day hike, but ALONE at Glacier Point - can you imagine that ! |

Advice: Be careful at the overlook
as you are in front of a vertical wall; Better pictures at the afternoon (when the sun is in the back) |

Rating: One of my favourites in
Yosemite, you hear the fall... but you see the whole fall only if you stand close to the canyon rim. Not to be missed. |
