IAB is an association of amateurs particularly interested in astrophotography. The five members are not only engaged in conventional astrophotography but also in CCD astronomy. Major interests of the members are on the field of wide angle photography with Schmidtcameras and high-speed optics for 120 or 135 mm format cameras, depending on type of object and dimension. Instruments used by our association are as followed, where some of the instrumentation is located and placed to our disposal by Observatory Hoher List (OHL) of the University of Bonn :

• Schmidtcamera 140/200/250 mm, Ø 80 mm curved field = Ø 18° field of view (OHL)
• Schmidtcamera 182/202/400 mm, Ø 53 mm lens flatted field = Ø 7.5° field of view (IAB)
• Deltagraph Ø 300 mm, f/3.3, f=990mm, Ø 88 mm flatfield = Ø 5.1° field of view (IAB)
• Schmidtcamera 340/500/1375 mm, 82 mm x 82 mm curved field = 3.4° x 3.4° field of view (OHL)
• Medium format cameras: Pentax 6x7, Pentacon Six, Kiev, 120° Rodenstock Panorama Camera (IAB)
• 135 mm cameras: Canon, Contax, Pentax, Rollei (IAB)
