Condor is designed to recreate the ultimate experience of competition soaring on your PC. A lot of attention was put in to create an environment which would create an immersion of real competition flying. This means that the aerodynamics and weather physics were in focus of the development. The result is an amazingly real feel of flight in all flight regimes and weather conditions which challenge a real soaring pilot on a competition day. Which Condor, you play with the atmosphere, riding the air currents, searching for that elusive lift. It's all about reading an environment that constantly changes, learning to see the detail in the clouds. It's weather system allows conditions to change organically and realistically. When you look at the clouds. you can tell which ones are being produced by active thermals, and which ones are too old, being ripped apart by sinking air. Wind is effectively represented, making the columns of rising air wobble and bend. Even the ground scenery is dotted with thick forests of 3D tress, making an emergency landing ever more challenging. What's more, this scenery isn't just for looking at and crashing into. Open fields in the sun get warm, just like in real life, which in turn produce thermals. The same goes for villages, roads, hillsides and plenty more. Conversely, deciduous forest produces nothing but shade. Adding this realism and detail makes this more than a sim. It makes it fun. A non=pilot could easily enjoy a few hours dancing in the skies - made easier by the excellent flight school. The lessons included in this game are very close to real life. It's wonderful. Also, graphics have been lovingly created, with villages being modeled with individual houses. Of course, the fact that rolling hills, cliffs and mountains have been well made has a practical benefit - ridge soaring (riding air as it runs up the side of a mountain or hill) is remarkably fun. You can use it for learning or just for playing alone, but this sim is also built to be multiplayer. So you can do competitions with a lot of people all around the world. Racing is a popular gliding pass-time...
