i am collecting since i was 10. i got a postcard from mallorca/spain from my uncle. i really loved it!
i started asking everyone sending me a postcard from
their holidays... in 2002 i found a really nice
postcard trading group at yahoo and joined. now i trade them...
i love to travel and to see other countries. To trade postcards is like to discover the worlds most beautiful places without spending much money! Lately I decided to trade UNESCO world herritage sites (that means cards on which you can see one of the UNESCO world herritages). To find out more about these .. check the link below! And for sure I am searching for cards of the WorldWonders!!!

i collect only modern (in other words: non from the 60's or something- only 90's and up because on the old cards the colours are pale and the pictures arent nice) and unused postcards with singleviews. Multiple views up to 3/4 pics on one card is fine as well but the pics have all to be VERY nice. E.g. on a cards from SF should be written “san francisco”... i collect the following themes: landscapes, seaside, towers, skylines, city views day/night/sunrise, street-life, scenic views, people in traditional costumes, temples, bridges, historical sights, cathedrals, famous architecture, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, harbours, exotic animals. no cards of pets, usual animals, hotels, freecards, nude & comic |
