the breeder wrote in SFAN Vol. XI, No. 3: "The color of this cultivar
is not unusual (a rather plain green with some red tipping) but it is
the growth habit for which it was named. It grows very large, the long,
rather narrow, pointed leaves flaring out wildly in all directions. It
more or less named itself."
