Introduction

The project "historical research and historical discourse across national borders via computer-link" was initiated at the beginning of 1999 after the idea had been considered as being worthwhile getting financial support from "Schulen ans Netz e.V." in 1998.

The main aims pursued with this project are:

• working on and discussing historical subjects and current political questions with international partners via computer-links,
• doing research work on historical and political topics in the Internet,
• establishing our own webpage and publishing the results of our work there including a commented survey on useful links concerning The Third Reich.
