Ice Gala in
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
January 2, 1999
Yesterday Oksana and Artur participated at an international Ice Gala in
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which was aired live on German TV. They were definitely the
highlight of the show. They performed their new "Fly Me To The Moon" program,
and they were really fantastically! I absolutely love this number. It was wonderful to see
them skate to this great Sinatra song. This kind of music suits them both so much. They
showed a perfectly landed throw triple toe-loop, a very high split double twist and by the
end a death spiral into a throw jump. The spins and footwork were beautifully done. Both
smiled happily during the whole program and looked like they were really enjoying the
show. They skated a gorgeous performance and the audience reception was enthusiastically. (Photo taken from the ARD TV) |
