The
Surfin' Seekers |
It is no secret that The Seekers concerts in the year 2000 were (unfortunately) their "Farewell concerts", saying (or better singing) a personal goodbye to all their fans in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
We, the members of the
SURFIN' SEEKERS therefore thought of how to say "goodbye" and "thank you
for the music" to them in a special and personal way.
We did an incredible CD with musical contributions from many members, which was presented to the four Seekers already during the concerts down-under.
Here, I would like
to show you of picture of Sue, the blind girl playing accordian on the streets of
Weymouth, whom you can hear on this CD.
She was the only non-member contributing to this CD with two songs.
I met her in Richard
S.' house during my visit for the UK concerts.
(You see her with her service dog and little Kayleigh in the front)
After their Bournemouth concert we had the chance to present our "Thank you for the Music" booklet, again with contributions from our members, and some special certificates to them.
This how the certificates look like
(click on the thumbnail to see
the page in full - the jpg-files are maximum around 120kb -
most of them are scans - but the orginals are sharp and clear)
Here is how the individual booklet pages look like:
