The babybearproject is a charitable project supporting some of the poorest families in South Africa. AIDS is ripping communities apart, being the cause of unemployment and poverty. Mums of newborn babies often can not even afford the most basic of baby items and HUGE numbers of babies are abandonned every day. Newborn babies are being sent home wrapped in newspaper.. our aim is to provide each new mother with a basic box of baby items for her newborn baby.

There are many ways you can get involved in helping! Spread the word about the babybearproject, donate unwanted babyclothes, towels, blankets and other equipment, donate money to cover the postage cost for parcels to South Africa, arrange a fundraiser... or maybe you have a unique idea and would like us to consider it?? However small your help, it will be greatly appreciated and make a real difference to a newborn baby's start in life.
