Think Too Much - News and Thoughts
August
13, 2004
On
July 31 S&G's presumably last tour ended at the Colliseum in Rome with
a free concert and over 600.000 visitors.
Some
say it was the best concert of this tour...During the soundcheck Art walked
around with a camera and filmed everything - maybe for the upcoming DVD?
More Rome pictures on Nicolas'
site.
Back
from two incredible concert trips to Cologne and Munich - thanks S&G
for making a dream come true!
I
had such a great time the last two weeks. Have a look at the new "Simon
& Garfunkel Live" page with my reviews from Cologne and Munich,
as well as some pictures from the concerts. If you understand German, check
out my Paul Simon News
page where you can find some articles from German newspapers and links!
Also,
I have a new Quiz Question for you...And as always, emails
are welcome!

Simon
& Garfunkel will be touring again this year and YES, they will come
to Europe for the first time after 20 years!
See
www.simonandgarfunkel.com
for full toudates and ticket info!
I
already have my tickets for Cologne and Munich. My seat in Cologne will
be in Section 102, Row 19, Seat 8 and for Munich it's Section A 3, Row
27, Seat 19 (next to Evelyn from NaLS!). Don't hesitate to say hello if
you'll be there or email me so
we can plan a meeting! Here's
a recent picture of me so you can't miss me ;-)
Looking
forward to meet you !!

PAUL
SIMON SONGBOOK RELEASED ON CD
"The Paul Simon Songbook", an early Paul Simon "homemade" solo recording from 1965 has finally been released on CD on March 22 (Germany) and March 23 (USA). The album contains precious and beautiful acoustic and solo versions of some early S&G songs.
SIMON & GARFUNKEL LIVE DVD ??
According
to S&G tour keyboardist Warren Bernhardt's website,
five nights of last year's S&G reunion tour were recorded and filmed
for a DVD (and CD?).
However,
it is still unknown when it will see the light of day.
FIRST GERMAN PAUL SIMON BIOGRAPHY
On
March 3 the first Paul Simon biography in German language was published.
For more information and to order your copy have a look at http://www.biografie-paul-simon.de.
Not much time for any
big updates...Check out a new quiz
question and the updated Links
section.
Another thing: Those big
advertising frames are really getting on my nerves, and I'm sure I'm not
the only one. I'll see what I can do about it...But please give it time.
I'm thinking about doing
a Paul Simon news page in German, I think it's a nice idea. We'll see how
it will turn out...
Until then, ckeck out the
forum at Bodo's site and the Newsgroup
for latest news and gossip.
As always, e-mails
are very welcome!

S&G
EUROPEAN TOUR
After the successful reunion tour last fall the chances for a European tour are very good. A concert in Rome already seems to be confirmed for July 28th...There are also rumours about a possible concert in Cologne, Germany.
PAUL'S NEW ALBUM
Still
nothing concrete about Paul's new album. Some rumours say the release date
would be this fall but we will see...!
NEW DVD RELEASES
After
S&G's Concert in Central Park and Live at the Tower, the Born at the
Right Time docomentary will be released on DVD soon.
Oh dear, I can't believe
the last update was SIX months ago...I'm really sorry for that!
There were so many things
going on I just couldn't find the time to work on the site; my first exams,
"tumbling in turmoil"... Not even a word about the S&G tour...Shame
on me! But as you all know, it was great and very successful. Unfortunately
I couldn't make it to one of the concerts because of my studies (well,
and the lack of money I guess...). I hope they will come to Germany this
year...
So, there's not much new
on this site except some rework and new quiz
question. I hope I will be able to update the site more regularly now,
but as you know, there are other priorities in life and things aren't always
the way we want them to be. And of course, sometimes even music cannot
substitute for tears...Paul's line seems to be more true than ever.
Don't forget to visit these
great sites: The Dreamer of
Music, The Neck of my Guitar,
Art
Garfunkel's official site and of corse the inevitable AMPS
newsgroup!
See you soon and preserve
your memories - they're all that's left you...
E-mails are welcome!
