Built your individual and extra long MIDI CABLE alias MULTIMEDIA CABLE
The original multimediacable look like this:
If your soundmodule is just 2 metres away from your computer, I recommend to buy the original cable. But if you want to spend some time to have an individual and LONG midicable, solder your own! Here is what you need:

| 1 | CNY 17 I which is an optocopler |
| 1 | 74 ALS 00 or 74 LS 00 (I got ALS) which is an ic with 4 NAND-gates. |
| 1 | 1500 Ohm = 1k5 resistor |
| 3 | 220 Ohm resistor |
| 2 | 100pF capacitor |
| 1 | 100nF capacitor |
| 1 | 1N4148 diode |
| 2 | 5-pin DIN jack (old keyboards) |
| 1 | 15-pin Sub D male jack (Joystick) |
| 1 | plate layer to solder the circuit on |
tools:
